The Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality (BECQ), Division of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Safe Drinking Water Program is hosting a Water Operator Certification Exam Preparation class focusing on Water Operator Math. The class will cover math basics through specific math problems typically found on the Grade 1, 2, and 3 exams. This class will take place during the first two weeks of December 2025, for about three hours a day (8:30 – 11:30 am or 12:00 pm) for nine days, for a total of 30 hours of instruction. This class is FREE. The class will be a hybrid (in person live attendance for participants on Saipan, and virtual on-line attendance for participants off-island, or those on Saipan not able to attend in person) style class. Live attendance will be limited to 16 participants due to space available at the venue. Virtual participation is not limited. The class is open to anyone working in the drinking water industry (public or private) or anyone wishing to become certified as a water treatment plant operator. Participants will earn up to 30 hours (depending on their attendance) of continuing education towards maintaining their existing certifications.
