The Bureau of Environmental and Coastal Quality (BECQ), Division of Environmental Quality (DEQ), Safe Drinking Water Program is hosting a Water Operator Certification Exam Preparation class specifically for water operators attempting to take the Water Treatment Grade 1 or 2 certification exams. This class will take place during the first two weeks of February 2025, for three hours a day (8 – 11 am) five days a week, for a total of 30 hours of instruction. This class is FREE but is limited to 20 participants. The class is open to anyone working in the drinking water industry (public or private) or anyone wishing to become certified as a water treatment plant operator. Priority will be given to existing CNMI water systems that do not currently have a certified water operator. Participants will earn up to 30 hours (depending on their attendance) of continuing education towards maintaining their existing certifications.
